Joseph Gopez

About

Joseph has over 18 years of construction and project management experience, gained in both contracting and consulting field in Canada and the Middle East.

During his tenure in the Middle East from 2005-2017, Joseph worked for various multinational construction companies and held the positions of Quantity Surveyor, Sr. Estimator and Project Manager. He was responsible for cost and scheduling reporting, reviewing bid documents, preparing estimates, preparing bid submissions, value engineering, scope quantification, procuring subcontractors and managing subcontractors. Projects in which Joseph was involved included hospitals, hotels, schools, multi-unit residential buildings, commercial buildings, malls, entertainment centres, theme parks, car parks, chiller plants, and residential houses.

In 2017, Joseph relocated to Canada and continued his project management career in real estate before joining MKA Canada Inc. in 2021. Joseph oversees the development of scopes of work, preparing detailed repair and replacement cost estimates, conceptual estimates for setting project reserves, quantity surveying, developing bid documents, analysis of bid  submissions, undertaker invoice analysis, compiling actual cash value estimates, conceptual estimates, and reports in construction dispute claims.

Joseph graduated with a BSc degree in Civil Engineering. As Regional Manager of our Winnipeg office, Joseph has provided his construction expertise on various residential, commercial and industrial projects to adjusters, insurance providers, contractors, property owners and property managers.
